Biographical Information

Joe Banda: I'm currently an Assistant Principal at Harlingen C.I.S.D. at Vernon Middle School, in addition I also work as an adjunct instructor at Texas State Technical College. If this is not enough to keep my life busy, I'm also a member of Cohort 5 doctoral class at UTB.-in simple terms I am very busy!

Katy Lu:

As a back-2-school mom I am blessed to encounter helping hands at every corner. The remarkable e- Learning program helps me to pursue my goal of achieving a higher education degree. After 3 decades of break from a college campus, I feel like a freshman again. I am thankful for this great team I have joined and all the dedication you provide.

Maricela Gonzalez:

I am a 6th and 7th grade teacher in Dallas, TX. I have the most amazing job helping students develop their minds and seek new possibilities. I have a Bachelors in Language Arts- English, and currently hold 5 Certifications, including a Generalist Certification of which I was able to use last year and teach cross contents. I am a huge proponent of Meta cognition and it's under use in today's school systems. I have strongly advocated for it's use in my current school district, and now our school uses "Ms. M. Gonzalez's Meta-Cognitive Reading Strategies" for our students.

Lorrie Garcia: Lorrie is an Assistive Technology Specialist focusing on special education students with high-incidence disabilities. She has four teaching certifications and has taught high school English Labs, as well as World History.

Jaime Villanueva: Currently, is the Coordinator Student Relations at UTB and TSC providing assistance to current students as well as alumni students find their first job.Over ninety percent of the time, Jaime helps students build thier first resume and conduct mock interviews in order to prepare students for the job market.
